Default Question about fishing in Skagway

    Hi,
I had made a post several weeks ago about shore fishing possibilities in Skagway. My wife and I will be on a cruise that docks there in late July. The response that I got was about what I expected and that was the shore fishing possibilities were pretty slim. I have been doing some additional research and have found mention of two locations I would like to get some information about.

They are Yakutania Point and Smuggler's Cove. I have found some reference to shore fishing in these areas but I trust the input from this forum more than my other sources so I thought I would ask if anyone knows anything about these two areas.

    Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for taking time to reply.

    In late July
you should be abe to fish right in front of town for pinks, right where the culvert empties into the ocean.the pinks run up through the culvert into the creek that is in town.Might be some hatchery kings still hanging around as well. Are you stopping over in haines as well?

    Grit,
Is this creek "Pullen Creek" or the Skagway River?

    Thanks for the help.
