Default First run out of Whittier this Saturday! Anyone joining me?

We're heading to Whittier this Saturday to try out my partners new jet ski's and gauge fuel economy, performance, etc. Any other forum members heading out this weekend? Also, if anyone has info on what the launch looks like right now that would be appreciated.

To get an update on harbor conditions call the Whittier small boat harbor office prior to leaving.

Was down there yesterday and they have cleared the launch pretty well and boats were being launched. I would have a set of chains along just in case. 2' ice/slush/snow in the vehicle parking area with 15 high snow pile running from harbormasters office to the boat launch. They have steamed open the drains so the water has someplace to go. Still 15 feet of snow in the boat/trailer lot...they haven't even attempted to start clearing it. The launch should not be too bad, with limited truck/trailer parking it will get very crowded when everyone starts shrimping/hunting.

It would be great to see a picture if anyone is headed down in the next week.

Wow. Back from the salt. Great weather and a great run on two great jet skis. I'll post a video we took with a go-pro of us riding along with a huge school of dall's propoises in Port Nellie Juan. Thats as far south as we got, but what a day.

Also, the launch was picture perfect. Slushy in the parking lot up top, but completely dry on the ramp itself.
