Default I don't know about you guys, but...

...around this time of year when the days are getting longer, the occasional drop of melt drips off the roof, and the fly boxes are bursting at the seems from the hours spent at the vise, I get this very unpleasant feeling in my stomach that tells me I MUST go fishing RIGHT NOW.

    It's bad...

It was a long drive, but I did some casting practice by the bridge last weekend.

    Hey Stan.

Sounds like your results were about the same as mine a couple of weeks ago?

Sun shining and sticking around longer, snow melting, new switch rod spinning with it's last coat of finish.... Yep, it's definitely about time to hit some flowing water.

I've been fullfilling my itch over the past few weekends down at the bridge. Even took the newly built 5 wt down there last weekend to see how she casts. Def going to be a great rod for northern streams.

It has been a loooong winter and I can't wait to get a line wet. I am having a new 6 wt built and plan on being on the water as soon as possible. I actually had a dream about landing a 30" rainbow the other night. I haven't been as lucky a some forum members to break that size yet- but this year is the year!

    Hey Vance

Yeah, same results! Lots of casting practice though, and spending the entire day with the teen is always good. (what teen wants to hang out with the boring old man?)

Glad I'm not the only one... Misery loves company :-P

When does the closure start for the Kenai? I'm intending to head down there next weekend.
