    CTobias,

Tie that on a #10, Mustad 94840, and it would be a killer during a hex (hexagenia limbata) hatch. Second one down would work too.

    Nice work,

What kind of biots are those? My biots don't give me that friz between wraps like that.. What am I missing?

    P.S. Great ties.

    Thanks for the compliments guys!

They are all goose biots except for the extended body which is a turkey biot. When you tie in the biot look closely at it as there is a ridge that creates the friz you are talking about. If you tie this in facing away from the eye of the hook you will get the good segmentation for the body.

You can see what I'm talking about with this picture.

My biots are noticeably shorter than that, and I don't see the ridge at all... I'll have to take a look around town and see if I can find the right ones.

    Thanks for the intel!

900, when I work with biots I strip them and wrap them up in a wet paper towel. Let then set for about 5-10 min, you will notice a huge difference in flexibility.
