    Default Any figure 8 fishermen?

Anybody have a report on how the lake looks? Traditionally not a worry for overflow but this year may be the exception... might make a quick run out there this week if anyone is interested in joining, since our Alexander lake trip is a no go thanks to all the snow...

It was not bad at all for overflow. we landed in a few different spots and also had friends with snowmachines as well and no one got stuck. Use the beaten trails and choose areas where others have traveled even if its a single track! And it was plenty easy to find a dry spot for a hole! Found there was plenty of action to stay busy all day

I played hookie from work last Thursday. Took 2 of my kids out on sleds.. Got a last start. think I was dropping lines around noon, left at 1900. We caught 18 pike.. Biggest being 31 inches, smallest at 26" My son showed me up.. Ice wasnt as thick as last winter.. Temps were good.. Ice was pretty Yellowish.. and the water murkey.. I fished the same place as last year we met up.. Ill be out their Sat or Sunday wiht the wife and kids again..

Fly. Otherwise, its a long trip down Big Su then up the outlet of the lake in very small, weedy, shallow water.
