Default Self built pre engineered boats???

I am looking at building a ocean boat next winter as a winter project. I have been looking at buying the plans from a company and having it water jetted in WA. and sent up and then I would put it together all winter and hope not but probably the next winter....

looking at the 20 to 24 foot with extended transom. a full cabin on a 24 footer or a rear walk around center console on a 20'...

looking for ideas on who to order from and who to have cut the material... and any advise...

any pictures of self built boats?

You don't see a lot of aluminum plans out there. I never did find one that suited what I liked.

I have, however, found plenty of plans for epoxy/plywood boats that are really nice. I own a set of plans from www.glacierboats.com and hope to build one some day. Business expenditures keep getting in the way of building my shop, so it has to wait for now.

    http://www.specmar.com/

Specmar marine has a lot of nice looking designs. He also has a page of links to suppliers and outfits that could cut and ship the material to you. I've thought a lot about having a kit cut and welded locally and then finishing the boat out myself to save a few bucks.
