Default Fishing in August from fairbanks to Valdez.

Looking for input from some of you Fairbanks to Valdez fishing guys. Yep, I'm thinking you Alcanron, moose, styd, SalmonSlayer and the rest. Are there still catchable reds in Klutina the second week (13-17th) of August?

Better yet, see if this makes any sense. I have a brother and his friend coming up to fish. I was thinking 2nd or 3rd week of August to hopefully try:
    1. Grayling in the Chena
    2. Tangle Lakes from shore.
    2. Reds in Klutina or maybe even a king (if there are any this year!) from shore.
    3. Pinks in Valdez (Allison Point)
    4. Charter for Silvers/halibut/lingcod in Valdez.

These guys have anytime except July 19th-July30th to come up this summer and can stay for a good 1 1/2 weeks. Focus is on fishing and I want to make the most of it. From what I've searched on this forum, around the middle thru 3rd week of August seems to be the best time for a trip. We have no boat.

    Thanks, Ed

Grayling fishing on the Chena should be hot!!!

Might consider a Pike fly out with Marina Air.

Both the Chena and Salcha could have kings that late,, check the regs for EOs.

The Valdez plans looks good,, have fun!!!

Should still be plenty of reds in the Klutina during the second week of August and probably well into September. We hit the Copper / Chitna with dipnets on the second weekend of August every year and there a generally tons of reds still that far down. We dropped a line in the Klutina on the way down and hooked up with a couple but only stayed for an hour.
