    Default bear web cam

I always had a thought and maybe its been discussed, and not even sure on the legality of it but what would it take to set up a web cam on a bear bait. Think it would be pretty cool to be able to watch the bears on the bait or the hunts...just curious

Well electronic communication is illegal and this would be pushing that real close! The actual configuration would not be especially hard, there are existing all weather cameras that have the ability to be linked up to a hosted website. The challenge would be getting actual internet access. Much of the state near the road system has 3G coverage which would support it using some sort of a evdo wireless air card. Outside of cell coverage though you would need a sat link of some kind like hughes net or similar. Way to much money/equipment/time for it to be worthwhile in that scenario.

Thanks LuJon, I knew it would be pushing the electronic rules really close, I just thought what a cool thing it would be. Yea sat would be out for sure.

yea I have heard about the texas thing before and hunting from the internet, not my idea of hunting at all. I was thinking more along the lines of friends/family being able to watch your,,kind of like video taping except live...for instance a grand pa on the east coast sharing the hunt live as it unfolds with his grand son sort of thing

I've watched this site for a few years. Has a lot of wild boar show up. http://www.looduskalender.ee/en/node/11616 Click on "Direct Stream" to get a live feed. Pigs are there mostly at night which is daytime for us.
