Default Jason Falla Handgun Course (ALASKA)....SIGN UP!

    Folks,

Jason Falla will be returning to Alaska this year for some more training. I feel this is a great opportunity to get local training at a fraction of what it would cost to do the same type of training out of state.

The first class that he will be returning for is the 2-Day Tactical Pistol course.

    Course Dates: May 26th-May27th

Course Venue: Birchwood Recreation & Shooting Park

Course Tuition: $450 plus the required 1000 rounds ammo

You may sign up at www.redbackone.com or get the number off of their website and contact Giselle for more information. Additionally, you may put $100 down for your 'spot' and pay the remainder in a few months.

This should be a great time and many members here attended Jasons basic pistol course last October. Currently I believe there are 10 students signed up and we need another 5 for the class minimum and I believe another 10 would fill the class. Load 'em up!

I'm going to this one too...as long as I don't burn up all my money on a new M4.

Can you tell the RB1 folks to shoot their webmaster and get their website back to the KISS principle? Whatever java-intro-video-BS they have setup to get into their website is blocking out the majority of previous version browsers out here. I haven't been able to look at their website for months due to whatever video thingie they have put up as an "intro" screen.

That is their "fixed" website. The last one was worse for running on some computers.

I go there and get a black screen with a white "progress" bar in the center. After a short bit, it causes an error in IE which reports the page can't load. Multiple computers; same error.

Stuck on IE at work (not by choice)... which is where I do most of my computing during breaks (like right now). When I'm not at work I have little desire to sit around the house staring at a computer.

Is there a drop dead date on the registration? I'll have to look at my situation and see if I can make this class fit. I'd like to go, but can't commit for at least a couple more weeks.

And as far as "tech savy" goes...

    I use a BlackBerry phone.

I use Windows XP on a 10 year old Dell laptop.

I actually still own an Apple IIGS. And it works.

I don't know of a drop dead date...yet. I imagine if the class isn't full you could sign up the day before as a last minute entry.

Any suggestions beyond the Eagle River Microtel for lodging in the area? And we're talking about tightwad rates! I hate that this is on Memorial Weekend, but I guess you have to take what you can get.

I think I can probably make this class fit and Lord knows I need some more trigger time. I've been slacking off on my shooting time this winter. Went to the range 2 weeks ago and logged my worst pistol qualification score ever (93%). Got to get that back up to my comfort range of "near perfection".

If you are not too proud to sleep on a cot inside a gutted out tour bus, I might be able to be persuaded to bring it down. We camp in it all summer. I can sleep six folks comfortably and we can park it at the range.
