The only one I ever went out on was http://homerfishing.com/, Daniel's guide service. We had an awesome trip and I highly recommend him if he is fishing this winter.

Not in Homer, but if you come a little further south I'm sure we could find a king or two. Hope things are going well up there.

You'll find some answers in the "Alaska Saltwater Fishing Forum". Just on the second page, here's a thread titled "Halibut 2012 3 person group July". There's some recommendations in that thread. Hope this helps.

Daniels does a very good job. He can put you on rockies and butts too. They also have a very nice "cabin" for reasonable winter rates - both the fishing and the house.

Just got back from 2 days of fishing in Homer. The weather was great, but the storm out in the Gulf really made some huge swells. Had a blast, but couldn't get out to where the good fishing was. Hooked 2 but never got them in the boat.

I referred a friend and her husband to Captain Pete for this weekend. Hopefully the weather is good, as the guy is good and he has a great boat. I generally fish with a friend when down there, but if I didn't then Captain Pete would be my first call.
