Default Kodiak BEAR HUNT ,500 PC HUNTER WITH MAKE OVER

Well I went and done it .
I had my revolver refinished to look like a Bengal Tiger .
I think it turned out sharp to say the least .

I have been approached by two magazines to do an article on my upcoming Spring Kodiak Brown Bear hunt with which I will be using my revolver as my main firearm .
I leave in little over two weeks for a three week hunt .

Yes I will be using my 700 Grain Tryno Thumpers.
Took a beautiful Black Bear last year with the PC Hunter .

The article head line will be
    "Bengal Tiger VS Kodiak Brown"

That is if I tag one !!!!!!!!

    Default Good Luck

With a revolver like that pointed at him a bear will probably just grab his chest and fall over with a massive heart attack. REALLY, Good LUCK.

Wow. I can say with confidence that I have never...ever...seen anything like that before. Words fail me.

    Good luck on the hunt.

    Wink Bears and handguns

Plain stainless is much better. The added shine allows the rescue crews to be able to find the bears kill site easier and identify the body of the hunter by the serial number of the gun.

Very, very clever finish on that piece! I've never even heard of such a thing, and it looks pretty good.

    Default How was it done?

Interesting to say the least! Some kid might mistake that for the latest greatest paintball gun Better watch out. How was it finished? Will cleaning solvents ruin the art?

Default Did you get it autographed by Ted or just a ride in the Bronco?

    Rick,

    Just funnun ya....

Do not want to see any article about killing poor drowning cub with eight slugs through the .500 super wiz-bang ultra tank killer side cannon.

Really, I would like to see someone honestly harvest a 9 foot plus bear with a pistol of any caliber. That would put all of us critics in our place.

    Good luck Rick.

PS: Take a long a video camera.....

    Bigmnt

Yep this is not for everyone that is for sure .
It is something I have been looking to do for quite some time and as they say " I BIT THE BULLET AND DID IT " no regrets at all .
I really like the looks of it .
The finish is done with duro coat paint and sealers .
I think the big test will be the massive flames this produces when fired .
Better make sure the paint is cured before I fire it !!!!!

Not to worry I will have my proto type 50 cal .500 DIA Bolt action rifle with me as my back up !!!!.
I know that is reverse for most people .
I am to test it out and send back my reports .

It is a Bolt action rifle I just recieved ???? It hold's three rounds in the clip .
It is a 500 Cyrus CCM
Actually it is not mine yet .I am to test it and send back my reports and I have an option to purchse it .
I guess I should purchase it since RANGER RICK is lazered onto the barrel .
I can use from 265 Grain through 700 Grain bullets .

    Thumbs up I like it!

I think that'd look pretty cool with an olive drab finish (instead of the orange) too.

    Question

I see the logo with Custom Firearm Finishes, is the fellow that did the work in Anchorage or Fairbanks? I have a stainless Ruger MKII that I would like to tone done a little, maybe OD green with some gray stripes. When the sun hits it you can see it from a mile away. My trackers in Namibia last year did't
care for the shine either. If it's not to big a deal I'd like to get the phone no..

Sexy finish! The paint job will probably confuse any would be attackers. Is that a tiger in your holster or am I just going to eat you? Roar, bang, Beer:30.

    Good luck!
