they eat Shrimp, crabs, sandlance, and a bunch of other stuff. This is a pretty neat link but doesn't list size of fish as compared to stomaches.......though I'm sure that's out there if you look. Those are really nice P. cod!

Nice cod! Pacific gray cod are almost as tasty as halibut. Almost.......

If the cod puked up a scoter, it's likely the scoter died and sank to bottom where it was subsequently eaten. It's not likely the cod was feeding on the surface, or in shallow water, and ate a free-diving scoter. But stranger things have happened.....

When I saw the title I was thinking "What wont cod eat?". Then I saw your photos....
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day,
Teach a man to fish and he'll also learn to drink, lie, and avoid the honey do list.

When I guiding a duck hunter he swore he shot a goldeneye and it was "somewhere out along the ice edge" so we cruised the ice edge and I noticed a white object next to all the other ice chunks sink and float back up, it was a irsh lord with a goldeneye in its mouth! we netted the fish and I lifted the bird out of its mouth and it was still alive!
