    anyone just cruised Kenai lake and spotted and hunted black bears?

    there is not "enough" clearings or slides to make it very interesting. i think the far end of tustamena would be a better bet if you wanted to be on the peninsula.

    Yea I hunted it twice and never seen any. There are nothing but trees, very little sign. Just my experiance. Take sh advice, there are more bears down there.

    Cooper lake might be a better bet, lots and lots of bears there, I haven't seen too much sign around kenai lake but I haven't explored the whole place.
    I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

    A couple of years ago I was driving back to Cooper Lake and a beautiful blackie crossed the road in front of me right near "Waikiki Beach".
