Default Tok Management Sheep Air Transportion Recommendation

Haven't been able to sleep well since Friday (too excited), I was fortunate enough to draw DS102 and need to find an air transporter to take me in (good problem I know) any recommendation would be much appreciated. Thanks

Thanks a ton, I emailed them at 5:30 on Friday as I knew they had a great reputation. Did not know if they would be booked or if there were some other transporters out there. I just feel a ton of pressure to get it right out of respect for the draw! Thanks

Don't need to go with the most obvious, check out my signature block to read more about my hunt.

Thanks for posting. I remembered reading your hunt posting/journal before and couldn't find it again. Your journal is super helpful!

If your going solo, 40 mile air won't take you.....not only that they won't drop you off where they have dropped clients at already. You might want to try Golden Eagle out of Delta.

Kahahawai, Thanks for the heads up! Thankfully, I have some great hunting partners so if all goes well I won't have to go it solo. I have a lot of research to do around the hunting area so I am not sure how many areas there are to land. I got a lot of research to do. Thanks for the input it is appreciated!

There are a lot more strips in that area than the majority of us know about, very few of them are on maps. Give 40 Mile a call and they will talk to you. They do respond to emails but leave out a lot of specific information that you would get in person or on the phone.

    Well okay..let me explain:

a few years ago my buddy (an experienced sheep hunter) drew this tag (2005), and had booked with 40 mile as soon as he found out he drew, well after he made his reservations and pinpointed the strip/drainage he wanted to go into, they called him right before the opener and told him that they had some else is going in there....well It was an outfitter and a NR client, and that there was a mix up or something, Well then he wanted to go into another strip approx. 7 miles over, and they said they are dropping someone else. and recommend him go a week later ........Long story short, he Hiked in at a certain area and tagged out on a 41 1/2 " ram........I think the situation just gave him more perseverence.

Talked them this morning, they are very busy for obvious reasons and are taking down names and numbers (phone and hunt) and then will return your call in the order it was received....

I am behind you on the list then

Told them preferably the 9th, but will take as early as I can get. I'm scheduling the fly out on the 26th though regardless of what day I get in.

Well I was able to select the 9th getting dropped off in the valley with the drainage coming in the right, just upstream of the major fork that has the white rock sticking out of the bank.

Didn't someone kill a 44"er in that exact spot last year?
