Default Handgun Carry Law Question - Non resident

I am coming to Alaska later this spring for 10 months. I will be retaining my residency and not becoming an Alaskan resident. Would I be able to conceal carry? I am 21+, have a legal/registered handgun but do not have a concealed carry permit from my home state. I am going to be spending the majority of my time in the backcountry and would like to carry my handgun (glock 20) for bear protection.

    Thanks

There is no residency requirement to conceal in Alaska. If you are otherwise allowed to have the gun and are over 21 you can conceal it or open carry it if you wish. You need to read the law yourself and understand the responsibilities like the duty to inform a LEO and where you canít take it like a bar.
