    Default Mid-May Blackies, SouthEast

Arriving around May 15, 2012 for Black Bear (Juneau) after my partner returns from a safari in the Dark Continent. Probably heading south from Juneau for a week or so. It is my third trip and I have all the rain gear, extratuffs, Tikka SS 300WM, etc. Are the hides still decent and good numbers expected? Cruising the shoreline for feeding bears is the local tactic or are there other tactics?

SouthEast or anywhere in Alaska, mid to late May Black Bear will have great hair quality.
Just my observations....that Alaska Black Bears don't seem to rub early, anywhere.

Anyone, anywhere, have different early season Black Bear observations?
(Note that early season Brown Bear hair quality observations can be way different!)
