Is a textured "granite" finish. I am not sure if its a paint or what exactly.

It's neat looking, I've never seen one with the granite finish before. I think I like the more traditional/natural look. Thanks for sharing.

Who did the work? Looks like it could be the krylon series of stone finishes...

Looks nice, I painted one of my bear skulls with just some chrome spray paint and it turned out good too. I know some don't care for anything but the bleached look, but how many plain white skulls does a guy need laying around. Nice Job.

I'll try to remember to get a picture of it when I get home from work, the one thing I wish I had done now differently after looking at the OP's picture is to keep the teeth white. I just rattle canned the whole thing, I guess I'll just have to shoot another bear this spring and try it again. Also you need to make sure your skull is super clean or the oil in it will try to seep through the paint. Just noticed that about a month ago when I was showing it to a friend, still looks good but the paint felt like it was still wet in a couple areas.

I wonder if spraying it with something like kilz would help seal it before you did chrome...
