Default Hunter Education Quiz - From the eyes of an 8 year old!

So, I have my son Bob, who's 8, taking the online portion of the hunter education. He is doing well, however, he missed one question. Now, I'm sure we can all understand why he answered what he did! heh heh! See below:

    Detailed Explanations
Question: Responsible, ethical behavior is essential to the survival of hunting. What else is necessary for hunting to continue?
    a: limiting out
    b: personal involvement
    c: better firearms
    d: longer hunting seasons
    Your Answer: d
    Correct: b
Explanation: Responsible, ethical behavior and personal involvement are both essential to the survival of hunting.

Ha! Hard to argue with that logic, Bob. It sure is tough for hunting to continue if the season is over.

Claude- I will be doing another Hunter Safety class at Upper Susitna Shooters as soon as the snow melts. I'll keep you posted and Bob can come down and take the field portion with the rest of the class so he can get his card.

That's outstanding to hear, Doug! I was going to look at the schedule to see where I had to go, but that's perfect. Also, I'm having my wife and Chrissy do the course also, so you'll have three of them there doing it. Never hurts to do it at any age, in my opinion. I'm going to look at other longer courses that they offer for youth for Bob, after he gets his initial card.

Hopefully the stars will line up and I can get my 2 older boys up there for that class Doug is doing. I missed the boat this season and wasn't able to put my kid in for any draw hunts because of it. Sure hope he is a lucky one and pulls a TMA sheep tag next year!!
