    and there's always SSS.
Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day,
Teach a man to fish and he'll also learn to drink, lie, and avoid the honey do list.

Last night on “Wild Alaska”, a Discovery channel show, they were hunting and even shooting at a grizz that killed one of their cows down in Kachemak bay.
Of course they also talked about “bartering” away their sport caught fish to get crab or beef in trade.

It's really not a huge issue up here. I know many people that have horses and cows in this area and have no problems with bears or wolves. My wife and I had livestock for several years on pasture a couple hundred yards from Montana Creek and had zero bear issues.Electric fence does wonders for both your animals and the bears. I'm sure that you could legally DLP a bear messing with your critters. In a 20 acre pasture I doubt you could legally zap one that's just walking the fence line.
