Talking While you were at the sportsmans show...

    I was fishing

    Nope I didn't catch anything
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

    Default Boat

I pulled the boat out of three feet of snow, serviced the engine, re-connected the batteries, mounted a kicked mount, removed props to take the dings out (darn sticks in water), changed fuel filters, grease all fittings.....

Today is tire pressure on trailer, bearings, reinstall electronics and start scrubbiing the hull and wax.

    Anyone need exercise today?

I was snowgoin to scout some bear areas for the upcoming pop outs and found out that 20 miles from the coast there is around 2 foot of fresh powder....didn't see that comin since there is little near the bay, So, after four hours of smokin belts and digging out my 340 a dozen times on a sunny 35 degree day, I turned tail and ran home to steam my aches away....and wish I was at a Sportsmans' Show, talkin about the outdoors, cuz actually bein there was very very painful that day.

But on the exciting side, I was charged by a porcupine, I was digging out my machine for the sixth or seventh time as I tipped into a melted out spruce tree hole and as I looked up from my shoveling (eye level with the snow), and I saw ten feet away, a large porkie in full strut, hissin at me somethin fierce. I guess I must have gotten a little too close to his hole, but luckily my partners came back to help me dig out and they scared it off (phew). Once the machines stopped and we commenced diggin, the little bugger came out again and stood about ten feet behind my buddy mike, I told Mike to look around and it was pretty funny to see him get a little startled at how close that porkie was. Savage little monsters
