I read that others trying to apply sound dampening material to their sportjets have caused OVER heating issues,, just something to consider. My experience with SJs is to treat them like airplanes, or airboats and use headsets and an intercom.

Bob, as pot builder mentioned, AK Rubber on Old Seward is the best place to pic up sound deadening material. Get the one with fire retardant/ reinforced foil w/ the heavy vinyl layer built in. I've found it to work the best but it is heavier and more money.
The guys at phantom have also developed a new exhaust muffler which I'm told has greatly improved the tone. When I get some video, I'll post it.

I posted last year about lining my SJ. No over heating issues and reduced the noise very well.

I used dynamat on mine. Worked good. I also ordered it off eBay. Stuff will stick to anything.
Do I give my friends advice? Jesus, no. They wouldn't take advice from me. Nobody should take advice from me. I haven't got a clue about anything..
