    Default water filters

I was going over the sheep hunting gear lists looking at what everyone was using, weights etc specifically looking for water filters choices and that prompted me to post this. I was wondering if anyone had tried the Sawyer squeeze system. I figured it would be a good option so I picked one up. With everyone trying to get more bang for the weight I was thinking someone might have already tried one out. I weighed the one I got and with the filter, 64oz bag and the syringe to backflow clean the filter it came to just under 6oz. You can drink directly from it pour into a cup/pot or gravity feed into another container. It also has a 1 million gallon guarantee. I am planning on using it and doing a full review later in the year.

Alaska_Lanche uses a sawyer filter inline with a platypus zip top hydration bladder. pretty slick setup. I like my MSR hyperflow.

I went back and looked and had missed Alaska_Lanche's 2011 gear list where he had mentioned it I saw that he had the Hiker Pro in previous lists. Hopefully he will chime in.
