No....but I did hear that Apple is coming out with a new Iphone that will be equipped with a sat phone connection and your choice of calibers from 270 win on up to 458. Just click your phone into the plastic stock (purchased separately) and ready, aim, fire. Oh, make sure to download the 1200 yard app prior to touching one off...

    LOL.

'Is a 30-30 enough to shoot a poacher...'

Only inside of 800 yards. For 800+ yard shots, I prefer an AR-10. Farthest I've ever bagged a poacher is 910 yards. Called him in from 2 miles, though. I was wearing a pretty good decoy (spike fork antlers from last year), and was using recorded moose calls and had leaked a phony 'hot spot' on the forums the week before so the trooper that saw it all gave me a hard time, said he could throw the book at me for entrapment, blah blah blah... He let me off with a warning, but cited me for baiting because of the open beers. Poachers cant resist them.

Probably. Just don't try it with a lever action...too controversial.

You need to use bearclaw bullets so it looks like a bear got him. Then report it and get your bear story put in outdoor life.
Now left only to be a turd in the forrest and the circle will be complete.Use me as I have used you

Is there anywhere close to the road that I can be garanteed to bag a poacher?

Tha answer to your question, mallrdman is "Yes"

"BUT!" she still needs a Bigger .30-30, like a 45 cal Nuklear Magnum .30-30, ya see.....4,000+ on the FPS and she might kill 'em with a near miss!

dang thang is, Im always looking for a Bigger .30 cal, but I have yet to meet a guy who actually has one.......

Yep..........I learnd that hunting bears on de Internet..........
If you can't Kill it with a 30-06, you should Hide.

The cooler must be closed and secured with a "poacher deterant" mechanism. Bungy chords work.
I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Poaching is all about shot placement. That is, when you're poaching your buddies' girlfriend,
place about 10 shots of Jaeger down her

I would prefer a lever action over a breachloader.
