    Member of the Year 2011

This year for Member of the Year has been a great year for some of the most experienced, educated, and elite outdoorsman that this site offers. It's been competitive as the winner of this year's Member of the Year vote has only won by a mere NINE votes. (Yes, your vote did count)! Considering the amount of responses that we have received for all of the top three nominees tells us that you are aware of your fellow outdoorsman, that you respect what they contribute, that you understand that there is a uniqueness in what these outdoorsman have to offer our site, our board, each other, and our the resources within our state.

You agree that these outdoorsman offer these qualities:

    2. Showing respect to members and guests, regardless of their residency, experience, attitudes, or views.
    3. Making positive contributions to the site (providing practical answers to posted questions, initiating threads that are of value to the outdoors community, etc.)
    4. Members that are in good standing via their ‘Reputation’ which includes a limited number of infractions given by the Moderators of Outdoors Directory

WOW,, I just want to say that I'm truly humbled to be voted MOTY by all the great members of AOD.

Some awesome prizes and I really look forward to visiting Alpine Creek again, my trips with Marina Air are always memorable, who could pass up a Turtle Club Prime Rib?? and I love hunting swag, so the book store gift is awesome for winter blues.

However, by far the greatest prize of all was reading the compliments submitted by my fellow members. To say those words really touched my heart is an understatement.

To even have my name included in this thread and to be considered in such fine company is a prize in itself. My congratulations to all the other members that were nominated and a very special THANK YOU to all those that both, nominated and voted for me.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!

I also want to Thank all the sponsors for such great prizes!!!

    Steve

Can't wait to get back out to Alpine Creek Lodge!! Do you think Mr Claude will let me cook???

My Son just moved up, so I'm really stoked to get to take him out with Mr Rick with Marina Air, we always have the best trips with him!!

Really look forward to chowing down on a juicy prime rib from the Turtle Club and raiding the book store, already have a few books in mind.

I owe it all to the great people that make this site way more than a Forum, I do really feel like you all are my friends.

    Happy New Year

    Steve

For of those of you that don't know how this fits in, lol, Mister stidd was'nt going to be able to go hunting unless this project was finished, lol.

I think you can go back to the summer project thread and see what a project it was, I'm still in awe at the time and feeling that you put into it Steve and if your wife would'nt let you take off and hunt after that, might have to had a sit down, lol.

Just thought that this project and strangers boat are another testement to how there is more to the person than just hunting and fishing, says alot about the person.

Looking forward to seeing that classic on the road.

Congratulations Stid! Well deserving for all the great input and pictures with the stories! We look forward to having you back out here! We might even get a new sign put up next spring, as your picture reminded me to do that! Also, I'm sure Jen will let you cook! I know I will!
