Talking Beginners luck on hard lucy harding

Had the time of my life on the hard water today as i made it out to Harding lake for the first time today. I landed my first trophy lake trout today. It weighed in at 17lbs and was 35" long. The stars must have been aligned just right for this beast to come through. The weather conditions were very good and their was not much wind throughout the day. It was nice seeing forum members Gutleap and AlcanRon out their as they too hooked into a few nice ones. They truly are the masters of coaxing in those lake trout! I now am hooked on those lunker lakers and will most definitely be heading out again soon.

Below is the photo that goes with this post.

I must say that I have not seen anyone on this lake in the last few years that was more prepared to fish for these lakers than this young man. Like Ron said, you did your homework and all the equipment you had was top notch and what you needed to hook into one of the Harding monsters of the deep. I was very impressed with your dedication and it was certainly much deserved. You have to your credit the largest laker that I have seen out of Harding this year. Congratulations on a monster laker. You are more than welcome to fish with us anytime. Hope to see you out there again soon.
