I've seen some of Tony Russ's work...very nice.

He occasionally comes to this forum and has a login so you can likely contact him that way.

Ted Meyer did a moose paddle for me years ago and I get comments on how great it is from visitors to my house all the time. He does all kinds of horns. He posts on here from time to time--can probably catch him on the trapping forum--tmeyer I think.

There is a guy named Buddy Donaldson who just spent the summer here in ak who carves a lot. He did a great sheep horn for a friend of mine. Here's his site http://azcallofthewild.blogspot.com/

I got him to join the forum but I don't think he ever posted.

I'd vote for Tom Cooper. He owns Alaska Horn and Antler on the Sterling hwy. Phone number is 907 262 9759. He's a great guy and a pretty darn good carver. If you have never been into his shop it's a must see next time you are in the soldotna area.

Most all the threads on this site are at least a couple years old. I want to update things a little in case anyone is interested in a carving. My name is Buddy Donaldson. There are numerous great carvers mentioned here, and you wouldn't go wrong to choose any one of them. I too am a carver and have been carving for over 20 years. You basically need to look at everyone's work and choose which style you like the best for your project. If you would like to view my work, just google my full name, and my site is Call of the Wild. Thanks for your interest and good luck. Buddy
