    Default Dagger passage

I have a dagger passage that is 17ft 4 inch royalex lite, I believe. Can anyone shed some light on this canoe, is it well built, tough as an old town, or light weight junk designed for small lakes and no rivers? I have only used for a few times this last summer. It was a garage sale find.

    Thanks for the help

    Good Holidays

There are a few of us who have various Esquif canoes. This is an understatement: I have converted to Esquif from Old Town canoes. Although Old Town make some great canoes, the ingenuity, craftsmanship, and design of Esquif canoes far exceed the "same old town". Be proud of the canoe you have, it will be a great canoe.

    Oh, my bad.

I thought the Dagger Passage was an Esquif model. It is not, and I've not heard much or seen any Dagger canoes. I appologize for the mix-up.

I am not familiar with the passage, but I do own a dagger canoe (an impulse solo canoe). Mine is also royalex and very durable. I have hit many many rocks with it! Dagger makes good sturdy all around boats, a close second behind Old Town in my opinion.

I say you found a great canoe!
