If you search you will find at least one- maybe two- good threads on this.

On my 'sled', if Im taking it along to the Hunting grounds, I will pack in another rifle as an extra , or my shotgun, but on my Snowgo I always carry my .22LR Romy 69, leaned against the dash, rested butt to the running boards, held with place with a bungie cord that gos across my gas tank and holds down my travle bag, and my left leg.

My M-39 is usually in a scabbard strapped to the front of the cowling angled tward my left hand.

If I have neither bungi nor scabbard, I ride with my rifle slug across my chest so I can roll with the gun rather than break my back, as well , snow does not accoumulate while riding on your front nearly as bad as your backside...........keep's it clean and ready for use.

A Gun for every occassion, and the ride can handle the extra weight.

Thanks sayak, my first search before posting didn't return any results, but after trying it again I see where you are coming from.
