Thread: Excellent Hunt With Arrowhead Outfitters

Default Excellent Hunt With Arrowhead Outfitters

I had the luxury of flying with Arrowhead Outfitters this fall and can't say enough good about them. I've flown with a lot of air taxis over the years and this one is an instant favorite. Howard is an outstanding pilot. They kept in constant touch with me via satellite phone while I was in the field, which was comforting. Even flew me to a different location midway through the hunt. Most importantly I took a big moose home and I have Arrowhead Outfitters to thank for it.

Northwind...not to sound pecimistic, we've had business in the past just sign on as a memeber and drop a plug about themselves in here to boom up business. Without some photos, maybe a write up or some details on your trip it kinda sounds like one of those self promotional plugs.
Given the past posts we're head on arrowhead, it causes me to be a little suspicious.
If not, congrats on a great hunt...

This is interesting... Myself and a buddy were contemplating using Arrowhead this spring for a fly in for bear...Their prices are not bad and they do mention flying you to another spot w/o additional charge... I would definitely like to see pics and a write up to give a lil warm and fuzzy..

I'm sure there are some unscrupulous individuals who would plug themselves on a forum such as this. Just as I'm sure there are some individuals who would post negative comments in hopes of hurting a competitor for monetary gain. I have been hunting Alaska DIY for many years now and just met Howard for the first time this year. I can assure any doubters that my only affiliation with them is that I now consider them my friends. I'll see if I can't post a pic, kind of having trouble with that at the moment!lol

Let me also say I'm not interested in engaging in any type of arguement what so ever over this subject. I simply had a good hunt and was impressed by the outfit I went with.

Congrats on your hunt and we are all looking forward to the story and some pictures. With hunting season over, it's nice to get a late submission like this to read.

If anyone could give me some pointers on how to post a pic I would love to do so. I see the little icon at the top of the message form but I'm not sure how to make it work. Sorry I'm not a computer wizard!

In the Forum Tips area, way at the bottom of all the forums,
there's a sticky that goes into detail on posting pics,

recommend using photobucket approach if you can, so they come up big

As a new member you may be unable to upload photos to the site until you get a few more post and so many days. This is done to prevent spammers from posting porn. I would suggest you open a free photobucket account. If you want you can email them to me and I will post them for you.

Well, in theory that should have worked! Maybe its blocking them for a while like the one gentleman said. Oh well, I'll get it to work eventually! HE CAN BE TOUGHT!

Sounds like a nice bull.. sure would like to see it..

I know Howard and Deb very well. I spend a lot of time with them every Spring King salmon fishing, relaxing, and telling lies. I've seen a lot of the bulls Howard has spotted from the air, and put folks on. The first year they were setting up their business, I took them out king salmon trolling and halibut fishing quite a few times, and was going to fly with them for moose the year Howard got hurt.. so did not go.

If you are reading this.. keep me in mind Howard..lol
