    Default lighting up the hole at night good or bad idea?

    after the sunset im finding myself pointing my headlamp down the hole to see and still catching fish is this legal and has anyone else done this i bought a waterproof lamp so nextweekend im gonna light it up about 430 or so

    Totally legal and watch for burbot if your in a lake with them..

    looking forward to your report...I have had little luck ice fishing during periods of darkness, transistion times have always when I liked to hit it.

    I for one have never caught a fish with the light shined down the hole. I've seen them but only caught them once I turned the light off. I heard of people using crappie lights and glow sticks. Either way all legal. Good luck pm me if you have any questions
