    Default ice at figure 8

    According to the trooper out at Pt. Mackenzie, no one has been to figure 8 lake this year. We stopped at Flathorn where we spoke to them, (and got checked out of course). He said no one had crossed the river, he went out on it and turned back. They had thier film crew with them also. I realize he could be wrong, just thought I'd pass it on.

    I assume the river you are talking about is the Big Su because obviously you cross the little Su to get to Fig 8/Flathorn...

    I also assume it is the big su but am new to this area and didn't want to post any more than I had heard. It was slow on flathorn, the drive home was terrible with black ice.

    Been across the Big Su to Alexander twice in the last two weeks. Wind blown sand and and lots of overflow now though!

    You don't cross the big sue to get to figure 8 or flat horn. Bye the bye...

    What ever happened to Gaberts. Used to go out there a lot years ago.

    They had to close down, to many atv's were rutting up the trail so snowmachiners quit comming over so they lost all thier bussiness!
