Default It's a Power Boat Question

I use my POWER BOAT to get to my remote cabin about 45 miles from Valdez. Being this far from a fire station, all the insurance quotes I have gotten (State Farm, Allstate) want a huge payment which doesn't make sense to me, it's a rain forest and I don't have a wood stove! Anyone know of a better option for insurance? I would even sign a "no fire insurance" clause, mainly interested in storm damage, tree falling on it, or vandalism insurance....yeah, I'll try the remote cabins forum too but there are a lot more people on this one

Ron, I not sure but I'm pretty sure your regular homeowners policy would cover you, maybe not for the damage to your cabin, but all the contents inside

    I'm taking a poll

Thanks, Gary...you are correct that my homeowners covers my belongings. I did get two tips on the remote cabin forum, one a native corporation (Umaliak) and the other Denali Alaskan Insurance in Anchorage.
