    Default Trekker Oil Stoves

i was wondering if anyone has a trekker oil stove and how they like it. How does it do in your situation?

I've used them for heating large tents and a small cabin. Once running they are ok, but getting them started can be a bugger. They require priming and pre-heating. Much prefer the similar Nordic stoves.

The Trekker will take a LONG time to warm up a small cabin in the winter, but maintains temp nicely once you get there.

Also, draft is real tricky on the Trekker. Too much or too little and it will burn funny or go out. It's a matter of finding the right stove pipe length and using a wind vane type cap.
