Default Model 444 ultralite .44 magnum revolver in titanium stainless steel

Has anyone tried the Taurus 4" Ultralite 44 Mag? Fit, feel, recoil, accuracy? At 28 oz it is light enough to carry without too much trouble. It looks like a nice grip and decent set of sights and if the trigger pull is OK it might be a nice gun....or do you spend the extra bucks and get the S&W?

    Anyone shot one? Comments?

I haven't shot one, but I bought the Smith.
And I put the grips off a S&W 500 on it.
I handload for it and just load it to my recoil level.

I like my Taurus 357s but Ive had bad luck with Taurus in heavy recoiling rounds so Id buy the Smith myself.

Since your life may depend on it working - spend the extra bucks and buy a S&W!

Lots of stories about the Taurus titanium guns locking up - GNGs won't even sell them.

As I've said before. Friends don't let friends buy Taurus. Quality out of control. Spend the extra, not much, and buy a Smith.
