Fished the bridge at Cooper landing today. Weather was brutal, -5 when we started fishing. Water is stained. Maybe 6" vis. No fish today

We also fished at the bridge yesterday, with no fish. I have decided that Sharkskin does NOT like the cold.

Otherwise do you like it? I can't stand the noise hauling and casting it. Shoots great though.

I don't think I'd buy another one. I don't mind the noise and it shoots well, but I really don't like the texture and the hurt it puts on your skin. I've been much happier with the Rio on my other reel

Well I have never used mine in cold weather, but none of those things bothers me, I haven't had any problem with texture or skin prolbems cause of it. I actually like the sound the line makes when you cast it, or as it rips up river on a big fish.

I could live with it when it's warm, but the texture really builds ice fast. Last time I went, my loops were more like squares

LOL that is pretty funny. Well I will take your word for it, don't use it in the winter, got it!

Going down to the Kenai in the am. Leaving at 8-8:30 if anyone would like to join from Anchorage or would like to meet on the upper at 10ish.

Move around and find the silvers. Your numbers and size will go up. We didn't land anything under 20 inches.
