That is a painful post Buck. I had a self guided trip planned to K-bay last week that was aborted due to the bad weather. Did you or your clients hunt last week? Any interesting observations on bird behavior after that big storm? I am deep in the post waterfowling depression but I may try to get down there yet this year. I'd love to get after some of those scoters and oldsquaw. Though I find myself pining for similar pictures of my own, I have to admire the picture you shared and it is indeed a nice variety of birds. Also, did you ever recover you blind? Cheers and keep sharing your experiences in the salt.

Here's my picks. Goldeneye X 2 (common and Barrow's), Mallard, Merganser, bufflehead (the small one in the front row), surf scoter, common scoter, white-wing scoter and a long tail. Can't wait to go. See you after turkey day.

Nice looking bag! Mixed bags are always great fun. I might be looking into it too much, but I think I see 10 different species? Both Golden eyes, three scoters, mallard, merganser, buffleheads, scaup and oldsquaw.

10 different species in one day? That's pretty awesome. I could only find 9, but I was counting the black scoters and white-winged scoters as the same bird. Ended up with 12 different species for the season up here - I've been known to chase goldeneyes and buffleheads out of my decoys, but the variety is very cool.

Don, I thought you weren't going this year. You'd better get your long tail this time!
