Default Seaduck fun on Raspberry Island

I dont post very often but I thought I would share some pics of my most recent seaduck adventure. These photos were taken last week on Raspberry Island during a combo deer & duck hunt. The weather was pretty bad for most of the week but we did get a couple of days of good duck shooting in on Surf Scoters & Goldeneye. Hope you like them.

Very nice. Did you stay in the lodge or was this a boat based hunt?

We stayed at Raspberry Island lodge, which was very nice. We did get a couple of deer, nothing really big but they were both bucks. The weather was pretty nasty all week with more-or-less constant 20-50 mph wind which kept the deer huddled in the thick stuff and the birds hugging sheltered areas and not moving too much. It could have been worse, on our return to Anchorage we met a group of hunters that had been stuck in Kodiak for five days waiting for a break the weather to fly into Olga Bay. They had given up and were going home.
