    Yup. make those wicked machine guns safe! Blimey!
    I did not know that they were chambered in .303. Makes sense to me though.

    Lots of these brownings wound up in Russian T-34 tanks, in 303 caliber as well. Lend lease.

    Another of John Moses Brownings finest inventions. Model AN M-2 aircraft machine gun. Usually made in the US under contract for the Brits in 303 cal. They were too busy to make their own. Like the Savage made No4 enfield rifles, or the Colt made Thompson SMG's. My Frigidaire M-2 50 cal. still chugs along after 67 years.

    And at times we were to busy makeing theirs so we made the US 1917 Enfield in 30-06 while we were making theirs in 303
