Default Quartz Lake (Interior) Report: 11/11/11

Nothing better than spending a great day spent ice fishing with fellow Veterans Alcanron and Gutleap.

We drilled a hole and poured one for those that served and gave all they had. Not a lot of fast action, however nothing but quality.

We set up about 100 yards from the boat ramp area and the ice ranged from 9 to 6.5 inches thick, with thicker ice closer to the shore side and thinner as you go farther out. We saw about 5 other groups fishing today, eveyone walked out on the ice. The ice is clear and the weather was perfect for November fishing.

Should only get better...not an epic start, but a couple nice fish caught.

    Will post something visual soon.

I forgot to mention that the ice was about 10 inches today and there was a truck driving the permiter of the lake.

Nice video JMSS. It would have been great if we caught several more so you could have had more video to work with. That clear ice was so awesome. Like we were standing on a sheet of glass. It was fun guys. Should we hit it again or wait for Harding? I think I know where the fish are on that lake. Besides, I need redemption!!

Great catch guys! The stubby little fins remind me of some valley lake bows. I can't wait to hit the hardwater.....maybe this comming weekend.
