You would think that no tracks on the ice would be a hint

See all the boxes sitting on the ice next to the plane. Thats our mail and its wet! He was headed to Alexander with the mail and they were plowing the runway. He thought he could take off but was wrong. Gotta give the pilot a mulligan on this one cuz he's also the pilot that saved another pilot and his young child when their plane went down in the Inlet by landing his Beaver on the water and plucking them from the plane just before it sank. Heros make mistakes too! He's my hero cuz even though my Sunday paper is wet the groceries and my bottle of Rum survived and he made sure the mail was still here before the day was done!

And your point??? Or is it your point to be the guy that makes sure everyone knows exacly who made a mistake today?

Lucky the "mistake" did not cause a loss of life. This was a commercial operator who was too impatient to wait for the runway to get plowed, or taxi to International to take off. What kind of judgment is that? That is my point.

Cresent Hills, your right that it is a good lerning point but maybe when you post his numbers you should also mention that this man saved two people from a bad death out in the Inlet a few years ago. We all make mistakes dont we?
