Outstanding photos, Tull777. But you have to explain the last one, for it looks like a fishing lure to me

Very, very nice shots Tull. Care to share what camera/lenses you use? My guess is Canon with 'L' lenses. The moose and ptamigan images are crazy sharp!

Forgot to mention that the smoked salmon looks unbelievable. Care to share if I supply my address?

Thanks! And yes, the only "L" lens I own is a 100-400mm/is. :O)

I'm shipping a bunch out to a lot of family and friends here shortly though I need to smoke some more. Let me see where I'm at in a couple weeks as far as how much I have left. I'd be happy to send some your way!

I use a 100-400 too but don't seem to get the sharpness you or some other photogs do...

I'm not always impressed with this lens regarding sharp images. I shoot RAW and do some adjustments and that includes sharpening the image in photoshop. I've had this lens for over 6-years. I've heard of sharper images coming from more recently purchased versions of this lens. I've even heard of some people shipping their 100-400mm lens back to Canon for adjustments to the lens to improve image quality. I do get better results when using the appropriate ISO for the available light plus a tripod really helps.
