Rockfish are freaking great to eat! My favorites are China, Shortrakers, and Rougheyes.

Back when I started fishing up here I caught a rockfish and was kind of scared to eat it. I emailed ADF&G and asked them about it and they told me there isn't a single rockfish in these parts that you can't eat, it's just a matter of some of them tasting better than others.

The uglier the fish in the ocean, the better they seem to be...I was told that about the first cabezon I caught and it was truly yummy!

Nice Fish Combos, you've got one heck of a Hunt/Fish plan for your guys
What a great way to wait for Goat Hunting weather

Oh Yeah, I agree with the others, Rockfish,.... THE BEST eating out there,
I do have to admit I hate killin' em cause they're so beautiful and exotic looking,
but for the sake of air bladders, seems they'll not make it back down,

so I bleed 'em and chill 'em immediately, dinner for That Evening, hmmmmmm

Great catch! I caught my first rockfish this year fishing in Valdez last August and they taste great.
