At the risk of pissing everybody on here off that sounds like us needing to go to a 100% draw system. Or have a plague wipe out some of these hunters no I haven't hunted there and only know one guy but he flys intO the flats

I think the road that turns off and goes into Minto is paved.

I've thought about hunting back in Minto, but generally leave that area for the locals.

Sounds good we were thinking of taking the 180 on floats and some rafts? it looks like a good Area for a mixed bag hunt.

FYI....Since you mentioned that you will be accessing the flats via float plane, keep in mind that you cannot use aircraft for moose hunting (including transporting hunters or gear) within the Minto Flats Management area. I believe this also applies to airboats as well. See page 92 of the hunting regs for a detailed description of the area. This does limit the area you can access via plane for moose hunting but the are still many plane accessible lakes and/or sloughs in Minto Flats outside of the management area. Sorry if I rained on your parade, but I figured I'd better toss it out there in case you hadn't seen that reg yet. MF is a very cool area (lots of moose, ducks, black bears and pike) and if you go definitely plan to take advantage of the waterfowl hunting opportunities as well.

Thanks for the Info I did not see that you could not use a float plane so I will check that out.
