Default Would you shoot a cub?

Just curious as to how deep the hypocrisy may run in some folks.

Is there any place it is legal outside of predator control areas? I'm not sure the comparison to the moose calf thread is a valid one.

I'll say this: If predator control measures were warranted, I would rather do my part and shoot cubs (along with boars and sows) rather than enlisting helicopters, snares, and state employees.

This is my view as well. That said I also would shoot a calf if the situation played out such that it was my best option.

I found some of the comments in the Moose Calf Poll a tad hypocritical, in reference to what "Real Men" opt to shoot. Hopefully this poll will be enlightening.....

Now, is the cub chasing me? Or? If the chase is the case, I guess so. I see no diff in a charging cub, or a charging cow. Blast away!

I'm not sure that I would shoot a cub, but not because of the reason you assigned ("Real men don't kill cubs").

Well, when I created the poll it was set so we could see who voted for what option.

Amazingly enough, it seems that has since been changed to make that no longer the case.

    I'm trying to act surprised.....

For me, I shoot bears for the meat, and there's just not that much meat on a cub. That's the main reason I wouldn't shoot one.

Not sure what you're talking about. It is still listed as a public poll and I can still see who voted for what when I click on "view poll results" without any special admin privileges.

I agree with Brian. If predator control is needed than I think I would do it.

I would shoot the ones on welfare. All they do is bred and wait for someone to shoot a moose and then claim it as theirs without doing any work.
Now left only to be a turd in the forrest and the circle will be complete.Use me as I have used you
