It was a aerial picture of about 40- bears on a certain river. they may have been eating a whale. I thght they were fishing.

You can still see the photo, even now.. lots of bears at a little creek emptying onto a beach, from an airplane..

Not all web sites are fully compatible with certain features within Firefox it seems. No biggie I guess.

I've seen it before...last place said it was a beach on Kodiak Island, though I haven't followed its provenance all the way through...

The whale is the white lump in the water in the foreground...

As an aside, on another forum I frequent a deleted thread attained the status of one of the longest threads on the site. But there was no hint of its original content...just a lot of speculation.

Kodiak Island Bears Feeding On Beached Whale Carcass...

Guess this kind of answers how many bears a beached whale will feed...

Photo taken from the air over Kodiak Island.

The bears are feeding on a whale carcass that can be seen near the beach.

The pilot who took this photo said that there were just as many bears on the hillside (outside of the picture) as were on the beach.

Our friend counted 40+ in the picture. So another 40+ on the hillside makes about 80 bears. That is quite a gathering...."
