I'm painting up some old deeks for an upcoming sea duckin' trip tripto K-Bay and would appreciate some advice re. relative abundance of scoter species. Specifically, which scoter species, white-winged or black (aka common) do you think is more abundant in K-Bay during winter? I know, I know.. sea ducks aren't terribly discerning when it comes to decoys; however, I like my spread as realistic as possble when I hunt. Thanks for the advice!
you'll find all three scoters down there. Mostly surfs and white wings earlier in the season. The common scoters tend to show up a little bit later.
