    Default Kodiak Countdown

Alaska_Lanche and myself will soon be headed to Kodiak to do some camping, will have a few tags with us and can use them to make a nice fire if nothing else . After last years little slide, I added some STEEL to my kit. Thanks to Mr Vince for loaning me his Ice/Axe Trekking pole, it works great. Really happy with the Hillsound Trail crampon. They are very comfortable, stay in place and the flex plate gives great traction on all surfaces. I see myself using these all winter. Really like that I can leave them on my boots and not have to remove them to take my boots off.

Lets all pray for good weather!!

I'd wish the two of you 'Luck. But out of all the folks on this site You and Luke make your own luck quite consistently.

    So....

    Have a dern good time.

    Be safe Steve.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

    Good Luck Steve!
We just returned from an awesome trip. I got my biggest goat to date (pic.s to come) We had two very nasty retreives and we certainly could have used some steel on our trip. Can't wait to hear the results!

    Good Luck

Good luck and be safe. If needed I have an ice axe and a set of old school crampons. I'm in Palmer.

Steve I'm sure you're set but in the off chance you don't have a sat phone, I will loan you guys mine at no charge.

Kodiak an be an unforgiving place as you already know but it's important to have that base covered.
