Default Black bear hunting near Kenai and Homer

I am heading up to Kenai, next week (October 23-30) to visit with my cousin and we were planning on doing a black bear hunting trip. Our buddy who has significant experience in the area who was planning to go with got hired on a job and now will not be there. We need a little help now. We are very comfortable with the outdoor life and hunting, but anyone have any advice where we should go to find a few black bears? We were originally heading to China Poot Bay and were going to camp for several days or grab a cabin over there. Is that a good plan? Or should we head to Cooper Landing or Resurrection Pass? What do y'all suggest? Any advice is appreciated.....

Hit the south side of the bay out of Homer. They will probably be up high feeding at snow line on berries. Spot and stalk out of the boat....
