Default The best part of the hunt

For me its right now. In the airport, waiting for the flight. Pre-flight beer. Did i pack everything i need? Man i hope the weather holds. I really hope my knee holds! Anticipation of seeing that white mane. Billie or nanny? Will i be able to do my job, i know my rifle will do its part. Anticipation of meeting new hunting partner. Will the weather hold?
What does goat tenderloin taste like? Man i hope the weather holds.

Pre-flight is always my favorite part of the whole experience.

And then would the "Post Flight" likely be the worst part?

I have to agree, its always filled with much anticipation while chatting with friends or strangers that are doing the same. Much like the wedding day - anticipation of the good things coming your way later!

Good Luck - remember - aim low!!!

Default ANC Airport Waiting to start

Nothing like Sam Adams and Chips and Salsa while at Chili's at the ANC airport, I agree one of my favorite parts too.

The best part of the hunt is the hunt... and what you get to eat later. The stuff in between is necessary but often not that fun. But ANY part of hunting beats being housebound. Good luck.

I love my job, but away from work and out in the middle of nowhere with my brother-in-law and best friend is the best part for me.

I hope his hunt came together alright. The weather today is rather nasty here in SE.
