Very nice - is that white patch above and to the left of the 12 not a ram???? Bakers dozen perhaps?

Wouldn't that just chap ya to find those during the season and not have a legal one?

How frequent is it to see that many rams together?

I saw 14 rams together in one of the ship creek drainages this year.

They didn't seem too bothered by the pink. Maybe they are new age sheep?

The one up and to the left is not a ram. This is why cameras suck sometimes. The pic doesn't make them look as clear as we could see them. Nope that is the ewe that messed it all up. We got real close after they split in half but missed them by literally a minute. Oh well, next year.

There were two that we marked as shooters for sure. May have been more but they split up so we focused on the 6 that went to a cave and started licking the walls. Sometimes rams group up big and sometimes they're only in pairs. Perhaps someone else could shed some light on why. My friend and I had been pinned down earlier on our hunt by 10 rams, then two came to the ridge top behind us, and then boomer and his buddy came strolling over the pass. 14 in the head of one drainage. Not all in a single group but quite the site to see anyhow.

Sure would... that's just what happened to me this year. 12 rams together... none legal. Although 2 or 3 were very close.
Heard of 9 others being seen farther up the same drainage, including a bruiser, but never could locate them.

To the OP - great picture! Ewes have a funny way of busting the best of plans sometimes. You'll get 'em next year!

I saw one bunch of 22 rams last year. Of course it was the day before the season opened... .

Luckily they split into two groups (9 and 13 rams) the next day. 48 hrs later I managed to finally got close enough to pick one off, but I'm here to tell you the big groups of rams have way too many sets of eyes!

    Yk
